What We Do

  • Provide clinical expertise and consultation in evidence-based treatment and patient-centered care coordination by administering a Scholarship Program, facilitating Clinician Office Hours, and implementing other programs to support rural healthcare providers and practitioners 
  • Administer substance use disorder (SUD) treatment support and guidance to rural providers and staff who are new to addiction treatment, want to pair a new patient with appropriate treatment intensity and services, are managing complex patients or patients needing multidisciplinary care coordination, or are interested in new or expanded models of care
    • Multidisciplinary care coordination examples: co-occurring physical or psychiatric conditions, pregnancy, or polysubstance use
    • New or expanded models of care examples: hub-and-spoke system or emergency department medication for opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment initiation
