Ruth James, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. James is a family physician who came up to New Hampshire from Baltimore, Maryland in 2012 to work as a primary care provider at a community health center. She was involved in starting their medication for addiction treatment program and more recently took over the role as medical director at a county jail, where they are expanding their addiction services. Ruth continues to work per diem in community health and is also now collaborating with NH Citizen’s Health Initiative, where among other activities she is connecting to work on reducing drug-related harms in the wider community.
